The TMX Finance® Family of Companies is looking for a Real Estate Manager to join the team and be responsible for supervising the real estate site selection and acquisition processes for new store locations. Your commercial real estate experience and expertise in site selection will allow you to work with real estate brokers, developers, and landlords in an effective manner to quickly secure leases for new locations. You will come with a proven track record in real estate site selection and site approval in a high-volume, multi-unit environment and we will provide you the tools in order to succeed.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Acquire and review significant amounts of demographics, psychographics, and related information needed to make an informed analysis of, and recommendations for entering into new leases properties.

Analyze and evaluate data on a wide variety of real estate matters, including title information, architectural documentation and property surveys.

Liaise with Company’s legal team regarding lease negotiations.

Execute site selection and the negotiation of contract/lease terms for new company stores.

Maintain acquisition activities on a high volume of potential sites to deliver desired number of new store locations per month.

Overall objective is to assist in maximizing the economic value of the company’s real estate portfolio.

Execute negotiations and document lease extensions and other lease amendments as needed.

Resolve escalated landlord/tenant disputes and permitting/licensing issues.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3+ years real-estate experience, specifically commercial real estate site selection and approval with a high-volume multi-unit retail company
  • Expertise with new and current market development and site selection
  • Microsoft Office Suite knowledge required
  • Ability to travel up to 75%

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA
