The TMX Finance® Family of Companies is now hiring a Design & Branding Project Manager I to join the Construction department at our corporate office in Savannah, Georgia.  The Design & Branding Project Manager will be responsible for creating plans and exterior elevations for all TMX related sites in his/ her assigned region. Additionally, they will direct all design, permitting, fabrication and installation of complete sign packages for stores nationwide. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring adherence to national brand standards, as well as regional programs and expectations at store locations.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for inputting site survey documents and preparing permit ready CDs
  • Responsible for creating Exterior Renderings in Revit & Photoshop.
  • Submit and track building & sign permits for commercial remodels and tenant upfits
  • Assist and provide support for the TMX Build Out Project Management team and General Contractors during construction
  • Work collaboratively with the Leasing and Real Estate
  • Research and develop professional relationships with local jurisdiction building and planning departments, as well as outside contractors required to complete permitting requirements
  • Manage sign vendors and source vendors; evaluate vendor pricing and quality standards
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors and installers to ensure adherence with company pricing guidelines(Further develop sign cost estimates and detailed scopes of work based on vendor supplied design documents)
  • Review vendor supplied design documents for consistency and value engineering opportunities
  • Maintain rapport with current vendors to ensure consistent and fair pricing practices
  • Cultivate relationships with TMX Operations and provide guidance with maintenance issues and installation practices
  • Compile and review all documents for consistency and accuracy prior to submitting for departmental approval
  • Coordinate scope of work between TMX Sign department and outside vendors

Ensure professional and timely execution of maintenance and repairs to existing signage

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture/Interior Design/ Construction Management.
  • 1-3 years as a draftsman or Design/Project Management position in a firm with experience in commercial building design and construction. (Internships may count toward this experience)
  • Experience in a high-volume project management role for a sign vendor or installer, or in a retail construction environment
  • Familiarity of Design and CA project phases, workflow and terminology; familiarity of building codes and architectural graphic standards
  • Proficient in space planning, material take-offs, code compliance and standard concepts of estimating.
  • Working knowledge of in-shop fabrication processes, expertise in sign materials and cost, and understanding of trade responsibilities within the overall vendor contract
  • Expert organizational skills with a strong ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks with minimal guidance
  • Must exhibit consistent ability to provide attention to detail while maintaining a constant workflow of multiple project/priorities on time and on budget
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment under tight and/or inflexible deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills required for successful leadership of a team
  • Ability and professional drive to work effectively within a collaborative team environment and mentorship mindset
  • Architect or Structural Engineer certifications a plus, but not required
  • Occasional travel will be required
  • Continuing Education units in Program Management

 

 

Technical Requirements:

  • Proficient Revit skills is a must
  • Ability to work extensively with AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel and Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop CS2
  • Accruent and CSI Format are preferred, but not required
