Job Description

 

As a Sr. Instructional Designer, you would be part of a passionate team of training and design professionals that create effective and engaging curricula for team members across the organization. Our Learning and Development Team works cross-functionally with departments to ensure training content helps team members meet strategic goals throughout the Company. Your blend of creative and technical abilities would allow you to be a driving force in designing and executing quality learner experiences through the creation of visually impactful learning interactions, ultimately contributing to the growth of the organization as a whole.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

Strive to understand the business needs of various corporate departments and store operations, translating those needs into learning experiences to contribute to successful results.

 

Employ instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles to create and deliver blended learning experiences in the classroom and via e-learning and virtual training.

 

Design and build visually compelling and interactive learning modules and experiences to explain complex information in simple visual ways.

 

 Collaborate closely with, and at times lead, other Learning and Development team members while partnering with subject matter experts in each department relating to the learning module or experience at hand.

 

Confidently and effectively communicate proposed solutions, supporting your recommendations with mock-ups, demos, proposals, instructional design principles, and adult learning practices.

 

Organize and manage learning projects from proposal to delivery including identifying learning objectives, communicating with stakeholders, and deployment planning.

 

Research, brainstorm, and storyboard concepts for a variety of learning interactions.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Art, Education, Instructional Design, or an equivalent program
  • Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Audition.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel
  • 6-9 years of relevant professional experience
  • Must have a portfolio of digital and/or printed samples demonstrating skill and experience required
  • Demonstrated creativity and professionalism
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines
  • Previous experience with eLearning software such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, or similar
  • Previous experience with screen capture software such as Snagit or Camtasia

Bonus Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Adobe After Effects
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
